Remy O’Malley heals people with touch—but every injury she cures becomes her own. Living in a household with an abusive stepfather, she has healed untold numbers of broken bones, burns, and bruises. And then one night her stepfather goes too far.

Being sent to live with her estranged father offers a clean start and she is eager to take it. Enter Asher Blackwell. Once a Protector of Healers, Asher sacrificed his senses to become immortal. Only by killing a Healer can a Protector recover their human senses. Falling in love is against the rules between these two enemies. Because Remy has the power to make Protectors human again, and when they find out, they’ll becoming for her—if Asher doesn’t kill her first.
Why oh why?

Corrine Jackson!!!!!!! I wanted to read this book even before I read the synopsis because it is written by Corrine Jackson! Jackson is the sweet author of my favorite book of 2012 - at the moment- If I Lie (you should totally buy it!). I cannot stop thinking about this heartbreaking, unforgettable book. So, I am ready to read her second book Touched

I love the idea of the healer gaining the injuries she heals. The story sounds enjoyable. I hope Remy and Asher are well-dimensional characters. And I love star-crossed lovers, which I am sure they will be.

What are you waiting on?

  1. I featured this one a few weeks ago! OMG it sounds so amazing. And I did order If I Lie as well and cannot wait for its arrival. Great pick! :)
    My W.O.W.

  2. I'm eagerly waiting for this too, it sounds like an emotional read!

  3. Since I'm now madly in love with Corrine Jackson after reading If I Lie, I need this book immediately. Love that she's going the paranormal route with this one and this sounds like it's going to be another emotionally intense story with a forbidden romance. LOVE IT!

  4. Brilliant pick Rachel, after so many praising reviews of If I Lie, I don't blame you for wanting to pick up her next book too, this too sounds like a fantastic read! :)

  5. Great pick, Rachel! I remember the cover for Touched being stunningly gorgeous, and the premise is pretty interesting as well! I MUST read If I Lie soon; that book has been receiving heaps upon heaps of praise. Thank you for sharing, sweetie! :)

  6. If I wasn't already excited for this, I'd want to read it just by the author's name aswell.... and I've yet to read If I Lie!! it's because of the AMAZING praise been going around that has me already fangirling over Corrine <3 I love the whole heal-people-with-your-touch thing, so I'm excited to see what Corrine does with this!

  7. I didn't even make the connection of the author of Touched being the same author of If I Lie! Now I really want to read both of them. I'm so excited for this one! I'm going to have to go and read If I Lie now! :D

    Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian

  8. I haven't read If I Lie yet (but I plan to!) and it looks like I'll have to add this book to the list. It sounds fantastic! Brilliant pick, Rachel. :)

  9. I want to read this book JUST because of Corrine Jackson too! Seriously, that woman can write! I'd read anything written by her, just for another taste of that beautiful writing skill! Wonderful pick, Rachel! :)

  10. EEEEEEEEE! I remember reading your review on If I Lie and even though I haven't read it, I AM SO ANXIOUS FOR TOUCHED TOO! It sounds really AMAZING and I can't wait for it! I still definitely need to read If I Lie since you really enjoyed it ;)

    Awesome WoW pick, Rachel! ♥

  11. Oh I have been reading review after review on If I Lie. I think I will need to read both books! Thanks for sharing! Hve a great weekend, Rachel!

  12. Wow! I love the premise! I haven't read If I Lie but I've been hearing so many good things about it. Thank you for sharing this, Rachel! This has to go to my tbr. :D

  13. So it seems Corinne is going from contemporary realistic fiction into the paranormal genre. This sounds interesting, Rachel. I must get to If I Lie, too! Great pick. :)

  14. Oh wow, this sounds totally awesome! A girl who can heal but unfortunately gains the injuries herself? Just wow!

I remember you loved If I Lie so I really should get my hands on that soon and maybe pick this up afterwards?

    Great pick, Rachel!
